Every week teachers spend time pouring over their lesson and begging God for His help to teach each person. At St. Amant Baptist Church, we really do care about you. Come and let us be a blessing to you.

Youth Ministry:

We have an exciting youth ministry full of exciting programs for all ages.

September through May we conduct very special programs designed to encourage young people to learn God's Word.

Kings Kids/Flyers is designed for children in grades Kindergarten through 6th Grade. This program is aimed at teaching children to memorize the Bible. Each week workers help the children learn and quote passages from the Bible. Through group participation each child is encouraged and taught how to be a team player in games and activities.

T.R.A.C. Club is a program that challenges teenagers to do more for God in the way of Bible reading & Memorization, community service, attendance to services and attending a weekly TRAC club meeting where lessons on Character, Godly living and doctrines are taught.

The young people of St. Amant Baptist Church are taught to be a servants to others, live a Godly life and be "...an example of the believers..." I Timothy 3:12

Each summer teens are able to attend summer camps, youth conferences and activities that are all designed to encourage the teenager to do right. All year long there are crazy activities where teens can participate. Monthly fellowships and socials are just another way for teens to socialize and have good, clean fun in a controlled and "Christ honoring" atmosphere.

Music Ministry:

The music of St. Amant Baptist Church is unbelievable. Our church loves to sing and our Pastor loves to hear us sing. We have a great choir special each Sunday and many different specials. Instrumental and vocal music, both focusing on the "old hymns of the faith," can be heard at each service.

Bus Ministry:

Need a ride to Sunday school? We have a bus that goes through just about every area of East Ascension Parish. We cover St. Amant, Sorrento, Gonzales, Galvez and Prairieville. If you are in an area that was not mentioned let us know so we can work out a way to get you to church.

Our bus director, captains and workers are dedicated to seeing boys, girls, men and women come to church to hear God's Word being taught. Each Saturday, they go out and knock on every regular rider's door to see if they are going to ride the bus on Sunday morning. On Sunday morning they take the bus, pick up the riders and bring them to church.

There are always exciting things happening on the busses too. They will have cookies, games and candy to give away. There will also be special days where we might have hot dogs or hamburgers. We even have a "Fall Festival" where the entire church family gets together for some games, food, and a whole lot of fun.

If you would like more information about our bus ministry please call, (225) 675-5346.

Soul Winning/Visitation:

The Soul Winning/Visitation ministry is one of the main life-bloods of the church. Tuesday morning the ladies go out, on Thursday evenings the men go out and on Saturday morning the bus workers and anyone who couldn't make it to one of the other sessions goes out to present the Gospel to the lost and to invite folks to attend our services.

Sometime we may visit the elderly of the church or go to the hospital to visit a sick member or a member of their family. Sometime members give a name of someone they would like a representative from the church to stop by and visit. We want people in the area to know that St. Amant Baptist Church cares about them and their problems and only wants to be a blessing.

Christian School:

St. Amant Baptist Christian School was started in the fall of 1975 under the supervision of our churches first pastor. Our first graduate was in the spring of 1976. We utilize the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) curriculum. This curriculum uses the individualized learning concept and works well with our students. We have graduates who have become successful in many areas of the professional world. What's most important is that our students learn that we will one day give an account to a Holy God for what we have done here on this earth. Our students are taught to be good citizens and to have respect for authority and to work hard and do a good job.

We have a dedicated staff that works hard to see that each child reaches his full academic potential.

Children's Church:

Each Sunday morning during the main service all children ages 4 years old to 2nd grade go to Children's Church where they are taught memory verses and lessons that are geared to their age level. They have puppets and games and lots of fun.

Junior Church:

Our Junior Church program is a level up from Children's Church for children in 3rd-6th grade. Our Junior Church pastor preaches a message that is aimed at this age level and teaches the children respect for authority especially parents.

Nursing Home:

Our Nursing Home ministry is very special. Every other Saturday a group of people from the church goes to the Nursing Home to bring church to those mostly forgotten, and unable to get to church. They have singing and preaching just like in a regular service. Incredibly there are some even in the Nursing Home who have come to know Christ as their personal Savior.

Jail Ministry:

For those who have made some very poor choices in their lives and have ended up on the wrong side of the law we have a special ministry aimed at trying to salvage what's left of a messy life. Broken vessels can be made useful through the teaching and preaching of God's Word. Our Jail ministry team is faithful to bring the Gospel to these folks and give them a new hope for a brighter future with God.

Senior Saints Ministry:

So many of the elderly are neglected and left out of many activities because of different circumstances but here at St. Amant Baptist Church we believe that the older generation should be honored and respected. Each month there is an activity designed especially for our Senior Saints ages 55 and up. Everyone is invited to these activities but the Seniors are especially welcome. We believe that God left each person on this earth for a purpose and if you are still alive today then God has a purpose for your life. Our Senior Saints are active in many other ministries and are a big source of encouragement to our Pastor and staff.

Nursery:

A nursery is provided for each regularly scheduled service for those who attend the service. The ages range from newborns to 3 years of age. Our nursery staff is dedicated and faithful to see that the needs of the children are met and their safety is first and foremost.

Security:

During each service we have men who regularly patrol the buildings and grounds to make sure you and the children are safe. No child is allowed to be taken away from the property without the parents consent.
